Welcome to the Become who you Are podcast, a production of the John Paul II Renewal Center. As you know, I'm Jack Riggert, your host. I am in conversations and I'm sure a lot of you are with people that are taking two sides in this upcoming national election. So I was writing a piece I call it a short story the Upcoming Election Spiritual Warfare A short story Dr Wanda Pultrowska and Kira Wotewa, her friend who became John Paul II. As I was doing that, and I thought you know I'm going to help clarify this, at least for our listeners. There's a lot of confusion, but it's a spiritual warfare we're in and it should be the clearest thing for Christians, and for Catholics especially. It should be so clear who to vote for in this.
Speaker 1:But for whatever reason, it's not, and I wanted to write something about that and I thought you know what. I'm going to share this on the podcast. We have two opposing forces and you think that they're Trump and Harris, but that's not it. This is really a battle between our creator, god the creator, and the anti-creator, satan himself. And you see this opposing forces coming all the way down from the World Economic Forum, all the way down into our schools, where they're twisting and distorting even children's minds and hearts themselves. But this battle can be seen at a national level very, very clearly. Now, I'm not saying that Trump is a pastor. I'm not saying that he's running on the gospels, because he's not. He's a businessman and he's a politician. But God is using him to free up the rest of us to be able to proclaim the truth, and you're seeing this all around you. Now, here is the most empty shell of a person that I've ever seen. From a moral standpoint, it's amazing emptiness, and we have to keep her in our prayers. You know, here's the beauty of our Catholic, christian faith is we're called to love even our enemies. And I don't even know Kamala Harris. All I know is, for some reason, for whatever reason, these are personal issues to go back into her story. These are personal issues to go back into her story, but she's sited on the side of evil, and not only on the side of evil, but the destruction of human life itself. And she has no clue, probably, how she did this or where she did this, but she's clearly in it, and so is the whole Democratic Party. The party is really sided with the culture of death. Not that all Republicans are perfect either. So that's why I want to clarify this upcoming election and it really comes down to, if we want to really make sense of it.
Speaker 1:I'm going to put my glasses on here and read from Cardinal Kofar. Cardinal Kofar, if you've heard me talk about it before, he worked with John Paul II very closely with him, started the Pontifical Institute for Marriage and the Family, other things with John Paul II very closely with him, started the Pontifical Institute for Marriage and the Family, other things with John Paul II, very important things. And he wrote this not too long ago. He's passed away since, but this was not too long ago and this will clarify it. We can get into all kinds of different issues, but when you're going to the polls, you're trying to talk to people about how to consider voting.
Speaker 1:This is how Cardinal Caparra speaks. He goes. I'd like to respond.
Speaker 1:In our Western culture, there are developments which reveal with particular clarity the confrontation between Jesus Christ, the crucified, risen one, and the culture of life, and then the culture of death, the culture of the lie constructed by Satan. And there's two developments in particular. The first is the transformation of a crime abortion into a right. So this a crime abortion, the taking of a human life, thou shall not kill, the fifth commandment. And taking that human life. And it's not like Cardinal Caparis says he goes. Note this.
Speaker 1:Well, listen carefully. I'm not speaking of abortion as an act perpetrated by one person, so get that out of the way. Many, many people I know, many friends of mine have had abortions. We didn't know. I meet them all the time. Most of the pro-life people that I work with on women, as far as women go, or at least many of them, have had abortions and that gets them moving into this when the light comes in and the truth comes in of what that human person is. So we're not talking about that, he says.
Speaker 1:What I'm speaking about is the broader legitimizing what can be perpetrated by a judicial system in a single act to make it a category of a subjective right which is an ethical category. This signifies calling what is good, evil and what is light, shadow when he lies. This is Jesus talking about Satan. He speaks according to his own nature, for he's a liar and the father of lies. So he's out to set up an anti-creation. God creates, brings divine life and love in the world. The crown of that, of course, is the human person and a human person has dignity because their beloved son or daughter of god. Satan doesn't have his own clay. He can just twist and distort that, and he uses human beings who cooperate with evil to get that work done. And so that's the number one pillar, and everybody comes from that. Everybody was a child, everybody was a child in a mother's womb. So that's number one. The number two pillar that he says to stand on and we know this, anybody that's been listening to us at all is divine.
Speaker 1:Revelation has told us what God thinks about marriage. The lawful union of a man and a woman are the source of that life, of that baby. In the mind of God, marriage has a permanent structure based on the duality of the human mode of being femininity and masculinity. These are not two opposite poles, but the one with and for the other. Only thus does man escape original solitude in the beginning of scripture and go into original unity as a reflection of God's love in the world. So a man and a woman, the two become one, open to life. Boom, there's a love bomb explosion. And there's a time where a man and a woman conceive a child and there's three persons in one, a tiny created reflection of Trinitarian life and love in the world. This is how God creates. He creates through us and through this union of a man and woman. If you distort and twist that marriage, then that becomes a culture of death.
Speaker 1:If you think about same-sex marriage now and this is what Cardinal Cafaro refers to, he says the second pillar, that you see the culture, and he says again, don't get me wrong here, this is not about, in essence, your gay neighbors down the street who are recalled to love, whatever confusion. Most of the young, not young people, most of the people that are in these relationships, so many confused about their sexuality, so many of these young people we're meeting have been sexually abused as children in all different ways, and I don't want to get into that right now, but I've spoken about that many, many times before. So wherever they got there, my own journey back into the church came from my brother who was in a homosexual lifestyle as he was dying of AIDS, and I've told you that story many times. So it's the ennoblement of homosexuality into a marriage and it denies the truth of marriage, the mind of God, the Creator, with regard to marriage. Now, the union between two men or two women is what? There's no life that can come out of that. So again it's a twisting and distortion of our femininity and masculinity and again there's no life that flows from that union. And so again, it's not the individual people that have had abortions or the individual people that are confused about marriage or whatever, but it's again it's making it a law of the nation, and this is what confuses everybody. This means that at the root of this, cardinal Kofar says, is the work of Satan, who wants to build an anti-creation in our culture, in our lives, in our hearts. And, believe it or not, every single person, of course, comes from a union of a father and a mother and a child. This is the best way to raise children. When you get into the education system, you see the twisting and distortion going on. When children are not formed well, their consciences are formed well when they're taken advantage of, as they always are in societies.
Speaker 1:So those are the two pillars as a little bit of an introduction, and I start out reading scripture right here. This is from Matthew 13, verse 15. For this people's heart has grown dull, jesus said, and their ears are heavy of hearing and their eyes they have closed lest they perceive with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart, and they turned to me to heal them. So we step into this world. We're all sinners. We came into a broken world. All of these things were happening already when many of us came up on the stage, or at least they were beginning to happen. And Jesus comes into this created world to defeat Satan, to become that power, like a magnetic power that draws him to himself, draws our hearts to himself, to be healed. To be healed. Jesus always says to everybody the woman caught in adultery, people caught in sexual sins I will heal you, I will heal your heart, I will heal your mind, I will heal your body, but then go and sin no more.
Speaker 1:So what do these dull hearts not see or hear today? In brief, that this is a battle between our Lord and Satan, that everything that they people have not even realized that they're in a spiritual battle when they come into the world today. It's really something. All through history, mankind has known that this was a spiritual battle. We understand as we looked around the world that there's something more than just us. Somehow we've closed into the system now, this age of moral relativism where it's just up to us. It's our opinion, but we don't realize. It's an old story, genesis 3, huh, no, you can be like God. You can call evil good and good evil. And this is what Cardinal Cafaro was saying about twisting and distortion of marriage itself, as God intended, and the baby that comes out of it. It's a big, big, big deal.
Speaker 1:So, in brief, where do we get this wrong? This is Ephesians 6 from St Paul. Finally, he said what's the answer to this? Be strong in the Lord and the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we are not contending against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. This is the battle. It's not against Kamala Harris, it's not against or for Donald Trump. It's against the principalities and the powers that are directing this.
Speaker 1:If you can't see this with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, that there's powers behind them that you know again, they're just taking these empty shell of morally bankrupt or morally empty people and just really directing them. And where's this orchestra leader right that can pull all these strings of evil all around? It's Satan himself. And unless you understand this, you know you've come into a story here called your life and you have no clue really where you came from, where you understand this. You know you've come into a story here called your life and you have no clue really where you came from, where you're going, how to put this all into context? Our Lady of Fatima appeared to Sister Lucia and her cousins for the first time on May 13th 1917. Keep that in mind because I'll reference it again later. May 13th, this was in 1917. To warn the world about the errors of communism and the destruction of life that would follow if this evil was unleashed on the world. Socialism slash communism.
Speaker 1:At its core is atheism right, and so it's an anti-God, an anti-creation system used by the principalities and the powers to destroy man, to take men and women out, to destroy life. See, if Satan comes into the story and he hates God, but he can't kill God, what is he going to do? He's going to kill the imago Dei, the image and likeness of God in this created world, which is what it's human beings. We're created in the image and likeness of God. If you want to destroy that image, what do you do? Satan doesn't have his own clay, he can only twist and distort the human person, where marriage has no meaning anymore and the baby in the womb is just a blob of tissue. Now that is the very bottom, that's the very foundation of all human beings. If you can destroy that, then you destroy humanity. Right? That's the very foundation of all human beings. If you can destroy that, then you destroy humanity, right? That's the essence. All the other things are just ways to attack a person once they're in the world. But this destroys us right at the core.
Speaker 1:So what does communism do and what's so clear in that? First of all, communism, atheism, and what's so clear in that? First of all, communism, atheism will take mankind, men and women, and turn them against one another. It's an economic model, originally by Marx and Engels, that turned into neo-Marxism. Here you know critical race theory, dei SEL, all these gender ideologies, all these ways to twist and distort one person against another. So, first of all, they want to create this division, of course.
Speaker 1:Next, in order to accomplish its goal and take power more effectively, this system, communism, seeks to eliminate God from the heart of man so that their hearts grow dull. This has already happened. We live in a post-Christian society today. Finally, when God is out, we've got everybody fighting. Now they set their sights on the Imago Dei, the image and likeness of God, marriage and the family. And the most intense focus of this destruction today, of course, is children, because once marriage and the family are destroyed, the child is defenseless, vulnerable. We can go right after the child, the child's heart. Have they accomplished their goals in the modern world? Of course, they have 100 million people killed by communists in the last century, and this is only counting their own people, not all the wars and stuff Stalin, mao, pol Pot, others destroyed, starving out, killing their own people, their own citizens. It's amazing. Western civilization, of course, is post-Christian for all practical purposes, has already eliminated God from our hearts, our cultures and our country and our countries. All over Western Europe, marriage again has been redefined to mean anything and so nothing, and abortion has become a right. This is anti-human, anti-life, anti-god agenda and it's destroying families, communities and our nation.
Speaker 1:We see the decline, we see the destruction. Sometimes we look around, we're trying to figure all this out. It is ultimately not a political solution, no-transcript. The battle, he realized, always comes down to the evil in the individual human heart, which is then manifested in the world. So, however, that evil say gets into a Jobi and it happens to all of us, we come in again to a broken world. We have the threefold concupiscence. We're all sinners, but the difference is some of us want to turn and be healed, but there's less and less of that.
Speaker 1:So when you have people that are living in this age of moral relativism, you have people starting to get into power that don't care. They don't care, they just don't see it. They've become very selfish. Sex is just used as a tool for them, for their own pleasure and also to take everybody else down and control the population. And then it becomes the state. The state becomes God. Politics becomes the new religion, right. So this decline we see all over Western civilization is accelerating. Unless our ears are deaf, our eyes blind and our hearts dulled. This acceleration is starkly clear to us. It's so clear. We get it. People don't get it because they walked away from God.
Speaker 1:God, if there's one thing he's given us right off the bat, we know this different than all the other creatures is reason, and reason seeks the truth. What is the truth of things? What is the reality of things? We see things like marriage. What is the truth of marriage? What is the truth of a child? What is the truth of femininity, masculinity, and these are things that all have been thrown out. Now, because we have exhaled our reason, because we have exhaled our reason, our intellect, we no longer seek the truth and we no longer choose the good. We have to seek the truth and understand it in order to choose the good, to see the good, and then we choose the good. When that doesn't happen, evil comes in the world. Now I said May 13th, so May 13th, our Lady of Fatima 1917, the parents of those three children.
Speaker 1:On May 13th 1981, exactly 64 years later, as Pope John Paul listen to this was set to announce the Pont. I see all this evil coming in 1980, 81. And he's going to announce the Pontifical Institute for Marriage and the Family. And of course, satan doesn't want this and he's going to attack. And what happened there? A professional assassin was there, shot him twice at point blank range, could not believe that John Paul did not die, point blank range, could not believe that John Paul did not die. John Paul attributed his survival to Our Lady's hand who, he said, redirected the bullets. He would visit them with Sister Lucia, the main visionary of Fatima, three times and he would take one of those bullets that went into him and he would put it in Our Lady's crown of Fatima, where it is today.
Speaker 1:And in one letter to Pope John Paul II and Cardinal Kofara, sister Lucia wrote to them and warned them. She said this through one of her visions. She said there will be a time, our Lady said, when the decisive confrontation between the kingdom of God and Satan will take place over marriage and the family. This is what we're seeing right now. This is why John Paul II would say so often you know, the future of humanity passes by way of the family. This is just reality. And then he says this is where the attack is coming, this is what I'm seeing here and this is what we have to defend. So he's going to bring in the Pontifical Institute of Marriage and the Family to promulgate this teaching, this beautiful teaching about the beauty of marriage and the family and the child. He also put the Pontifical Institute for Life out there to talk about human life and human dignity. And so the assassin is going to take him out the very day he's going to announce this. You see this intense battle going on and John Paul knew this well. So as you go to the polls, know that these are the times we're in. This is the final confrontation.
Speaker 1:Don't let your heart grow dull. We live in a post-Christian world, but the clues are all around us. Think about this. It all comes out of this twisting and distortion of the clay huh Of us accepting sin in our own lives, in our own hearts. What do we see? Dysfunction in families, divorce, abortion, addictions, general dishonesty, locking up political opponents, constant wars and violence.
Speaker 1:Why are they after Trump, trying to put him in with these trumped up charges? You know, to put him in prison. I mean all these counts all over. I mean what he's gone through. You know most people would not be standing anymore. And he's running for president again. Why are they after him? Because they know he's going to expose this stuff. You know that he's open and that God is using him. You know, with all his faults and all his foibles, you know, we know all this stuff. Again, he's not Jesus Christ, nobody's pretending that he is, but somehow God's using him. Don't forget that it was because of him that that first pillar, that Roe v Wade that attacked the anti-creator, was rejected, was overturned by our Supreme Court and sent back to the states that was under Trump's watch. Trump never came after marriage and the family. He never tried to clamp down. In fact, he did the opposite with religious freedoms and things like that. The difference is going to be this We'll be able to pray outside an abortion clinic if Trump comes in. If Kamala comes in, I'm sure that's going to be against the law. There's already laws being passed all around that right.
Speaker 1:What else do we have? Right, we have constant wars, constant wars and violence. You just see the destruction, the destruction, the destruction of human people, the wars that the United States is part of, of starting so many wars all around the world. And it's not only babies that we're demanding to kill. Then, across the globe, think about this growing acceptance of killing is expanding. We're expanding it with euthanasia to the elderly, the sick, the deformed, the poor. We're seeing this in Western civilization, western countries, making it easier and easier and easier to kill children, even that are two, three, four years old, that have deformities and things like this. It's really becoming sick.
Speaker 1:And what are the children who survived their mother's womb right here in the United States? They're so often what told that maybe they're in the wrong bodies and that those of them succumb to these things and their parents allow it. They're rendered sterile, with puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, bodily mutilation. What happens, right? What happens to them? They are rendered sterile. Anti-creation again. If I take a healthy child and I want to render them sterile, this is how it would happen, right?
Speaker 1:I mean, it's very diabolical this stuff that's going on with kids. They're robbed of their innocence, they groomed for sexual activity void of meaning and purpose. Again. Again, there is no meaning and purpose in our sexuality. Marriage can be defined as anything.
Speaker 1:It's amazing how we've degraded this, but we've really, really, really attacked the innocence of children. And why is that so important? Because Satan knows that they were the closest to God. That's why Jesus always says you have to become like little children. Why, again? Because they're innocent, they're pure, a purity of heart, open. And then we attack them and show them pornography in school, and their parents don't even care, don't even stand up, because 61% of the American adult population is watching pornography now. And so this is why we live in a post-Christian society. Now We've thrown out God because we want to live as we wish, and we've become porn addicts and drug addicts and you know, kill our children. Marriage is meaningless. This is the decline.
Speaker 1:We're in a spiritual battle, you might say. Well, so what Then? Everybody's free. You have chaos, my friends, when the human heart becomes evil, even if it doesn't understand it. Look if I would give you poison and you don't understand it. You don't even know it's poison, but I hand it to you in a cup and I don't know it's poison. You don't know it's poison, but you drink it. Will it still kill you? Yes, if Kamala Harris doesn't know that, she's working on the side of evil, right. If she doesn't know I'm, I'm clueless it sure seems like she's clueless on a lot of things. Will she still bring a death and destruction to herself and to others? Yeah, and this is what we're seeing Today.
Speaker 1:There are 60 million adult survivors that were sexually abused as children. In our apostolate, as I go out and speak, I meet them all the time One in four girls, one in six boys. If you go around outside today or walk down the street, one in four girls, one in six boys has been sexually molested as children. That's why you have to be very careful when you talk about these ideologies and stuff, that we condemn the ideology, but not the person. Not the person, because those people are our brothers and sisters that we're called to love and to bring into this relationship with Jesus Christ. We don't know what happened to them. So many of them have been abused, sexually abused, mentally abused, abused with pornography, other things, and so we don't know. And it's about to get worse because the principalities and the power sense that many citizens in the United States.
Speaker 1:When Trump came in, we started to wake up and see how corrupt our institutions are, that the deep state and the deep church. When Francis came in, we started to wake up and see how corrupt our institutions are, that the deep state and the cheap deep church. When Francis came in, you could see he unleashed just like Joe Biden, and you can see it very, very clearly now that deep state. You know when everything goes. You know moral relativism is allowed to leak in when there's confusion all the way from the Vatican, confusion in our political leaders.
Speaker 1:But Trump came in and he was attacked and people started to see it around him and go whoa, there are people within here that do not want this man because he's going to expose the deep state. He doesn't want wars. He's the only one that didn't have any wars on his term and all of a sudden the military industrial complex couldn't go on. You saw what happened with COVID, you know. Now, he was naive. Trump was naive with this, you know, but we probably shouldn't get into all that right now because I don't want to get off with the election here but he was naive, but the people around him saw what happened here, right, we have the pharma industrial complex, the medical industrial complex, and we see the corruption there, you know. We see it in the church, you know. They closed down churches all over the world, you know. So you see the fear and the anxiety among people when they really don't believe in God.
Speaker 1:Well, the end game again, remember, is the destruction of the human person, the destruction of the human person. So I think I'm going to leave it there, because I went on long enough, and then I'll do a second part of this and I'll tell the short story of Dr Wander Pultrowska and Carol Wotewa of Pope John Paul II and their actual confrontation with communism and this evil that we're seeing right now. They lived it upfront and personal, and you could see the terror, the evil, the destruction that it brings into their story. So I'll record a second part to this, I think, but for now I wanted to get this out and just talk to you a little bit about the election. When you're sharing it with people and they're confused about this, sometimes it's very difficult. You can speak to people any way you want, but for me it's going to come down to that spiritual battle and the destruction. The actual platform is the destruction of human life. Now, most people don't even care about that, which is really sad. So you have to talk to them about inflation and what it did in your wallet, the violence in the streets and all these kinds of things. But just so the rest of us know that that all flows through. Think about this If a child grows up, their innocence is stripped from them.
Speaker 1:They're confused about all these different issues. They grew up without their mom and dad in their home at all, about all these different issues. They grew up without their mom and dad in their home at all, or maybe they were, you know. Think about how many surrogates there are now. That's like human trafficking, right? They go out and buy a baby and bring that baby into your home, you know, and that baby's stripped of its mother and maybe even its biological father. In a lot of instances we're not looking at that child and the life of that child. So that child grows up Really is that child? What's the chances they're going to be well-formed?
Speaker 1:Be told the story. Be told that we have a God that loves each one of them, that knows that their inherent dignity comes from Abba Father, that we're going someplace, that the world has a beginning. But we have to proclaim the gospel to these people. Look, god has to save the world. Our job at the end is not to save the whole world but to save our own human heart first. It always begins in the individual human heart For us to understand what's going on in the world, the evil in the world. Just remember it all starts in the individual human heart that we all, in a sense, stand before that tree of the knowledge of good and evil and we have to decide If we walk away from God, we walk away from truth, from reality. You can see this in the trans movements and stuff. There is no truth anymore. There is no reality. You can look at somebody's body and say, no, just because I feel like it, I can change. I can identify, as I'm speaking to you as a black trans woman, why not? Or whatever.
Speaker 1:There's a clip that I reposted on X. It's really well done. It's a. I think he might be a professional baseball player, but this pro, it looks like a pro and he is identifying as a six-year-old boy and so he's setting T-ball records. He set all the T-ball records because he identifies as a six-year-old boy and he's celebrated and everybody's celebrating him. It's amazing. We have men swimming now or playing volleyball or basketball against women and calling themselves women and taking the records running faster, and we allow this to happen.
Speaker 1:This is the diabolical. You know, when you see that, when you get to see that you have babies that are fully at term, that are just inches away from being born, now being pulled out of a mother's womb, you know it's just. I mean this life is ready to go, it's done, it's ready to come into the world and take their place in the world, and we can destroy that life. Even at that point, I mean you think about how diabolical this has become. So again, for me these are the issues, because they're very, very clear. Other people, though, they don't see it. So again, you have to talk about inflation and things going on in the streets and all these other types of things.
Speaker 1:But some people won't get it right. They're going to vote for evil. The only problem with that, of course, is that you're culpable, then, and I think that's probably why I wanted to do this, because you're culpable. If I vote for sin and I vote for this evil and I haven't even done my homework on it or I don't even care, then we're culpable. We're called to the truth and we're called to choose the good, and you have to know what is the truth.
Speaker 1:Ask yourself what is the truth. And if you're confused and we will be at times like this you look right at Jesus Christ on the cross. And what would Jesus do? Would he destroy the child in the womb? Would he tell you that sodomy is the same as a marital union? There is no life that will come out of sodomy. So this is just reality. This is the truth. Again, this is not my neighbors down the street who I'm called to love. I'm just saying, when you say that this is the law of the land, now you know we've overstepped it. We've made it an ethical decision. When we allow abortion again, it's an ethical decision that becomes a law of our country. So, when God looks down on our country, this is our base. Now, our base would be what I described as this democratic party, which is the culture of death, twisting and distorting life. Keep that lens on and all these other things will fall into place.
