#526 Moral Decay and Modern Ideologies: Protecting Family Values and Combating Child Exploitation

Jack Episode 526

Love to hear from you; “Send us a Text Message”

Is modern progressive ideology contributing to the moral decay of our society? Join us as we explore this pressing issue, sparked by a thoughtful email from listeners Mike and Julie. Our discussion delves into how atheism, agnosticism, and the rejection of objective truth have led to a culture of moral relativism, particularly in public schools where sexual indoctrination and exploitation are becoming alarmingly prevalent. By comparing the past, when Christian values were more deeply ingrained in society, we highlight the importance of parents being vigilant and proactive in recognizing and combating the pervasive mystery of evil that threatens our children today.

We'll also examine the influence of Marxist and communist ideologies within the National Education Association (NEA) and their impact on family values and parental rights. By looking at the historical context, we connect the dots between current progressive movements, such as Critical Race Theory (CRT) and the LGBTQ agenda, and a troubling legacy of eugenics and systemic racism. Our heartfelt conversation underscores the need to restore truth and family values, urging listeners to reintegrate Christ into their lives and share these principles with their children.

Speaker 1:

Welcome to the Become who you Are podcast, a production of the John Paul II Renewal Center. I'm Jack Riggert, your host. I'm glad you're with me. I wanted to respond today to an email I received from Mike and Julie, and they wrote this we were awakened not awoke, but awakened from our slumber by your presentation on stolen innocence in our church, and we had a question for you why is the sexual exploitation of children so important to progressives? It's a great question, right? So, mike and Julie, I would be curious, you know, when we're defining political labels like progressives, conservatives, et cetera, I think we have to take it down as Christians when we're talking about this thing below the surface. Take it down as Christians when we're talking about this thing below the surface. And so progressives, modern progressives, I would put them at a root level as atheists or agnostics who, implicitly or explicitly, have rejected Christianity and so have rejected objective truth. There is no objective truth, and so they swim in this, you know, with the proverbial frog in the pot of moral relativism. Just the sludge that you see around us, the infection around us. And look, people are free to choose the way they want to live.

Speaker 1:

When I present Stolen Innocence, mike and Julie. I do it because my heart goes out to young people who are just growing up that deserve to hear the truth, objective truth. They can always reject objective truth, but they're not hearing it, so they're being pulverized by this distorted, toxic culture. They've been repeatedly lied to about the very basics concerning the meaning of marriage, the family, authentic love, the true meaning of sex and sexuality, and more Particularly disturbing then and to your point and this is the point I was making in Stolen Innocence at your church is the sexual indoctrination, exploitation and grooming of children taking place on a mass scale in a public school system. This is why I present Stolen Innocent to try to awaken people like you right, the good-hearted people that for some reason just haven't looked around and seen what's going on with children. I present that with Tom Hampson, who spent his whole life investigating child porn, child sex trafficking, and he really has taken a heart in this and has done some really deep research. So again, it's a presentation that we talk about what's going on in our school system so people wake up, especially parents. So a common question, you know, following the question and answers is why? Why does an institution that's tasked with educating our nation's children instead focus on sexually grooming and exploiting the children in their care. Why would they do that? People are astounded when they hear this for the first time.

Speaker 1:

The short answer, getting back to the reason I opened up with this, is atheism, really agnosticism, a rejection of objective truth, a rejection of how we're created, an objective of Jesus Christ himself, and embrace moral relativism. And this is an old story. This is an old story that resurfaces generation after generation after generation. Unfortunately, again for us, we've indoctrinated our children into this. There was a time, not so long ago, where children were not purposely indoctrinated into this. There was a time not so long ago where children were not purposely indoctrinated into this. They'd have parents who were their primary educators, with their children passing down the Christian faith to them. They had churches that were doing the same thing. They even lived in a culture that was called Christendom. It was full of Christian morality, so that when your children stepped out into the neighborhoods, you know we weren't out. You know kidnapping one another and hitting people over the head and stealing from them. There was a time where neighborhoods were safe, and it's not like crime wasn't around, of course, but the neighborhood, the neighbors, everybody watched out for each other, because we lived in this, in what we would call Christendom. You know a culture that was defined by Judeo-Christian principles. You know where we embraced the Ten Commandments, where we didn't murder each other. We knew what traditional family was, so that every child had a mother and a father.

Speaker 1:

We live in a very dysfunctional time right now, and so what happens is we're swimming now in this mystery of evil, and it's all around us. We live in a fallen world and we've forgotten that. Have we forgotten that evil and its consequences, sin and death, entered the world after the fall, and each generation has to come, mike and Julie, and decide. We all stand at that proverbial tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Do you remember that Now, after God creates Adam and Eve, the serpent was the most cunning of all the animals that the Lord, god, had made? And the serpent said to the woman did God really tell you not to eat from the trees in the garden? And the woman answered the serpent, we may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden. It's only from the fruit in the tree in the middle of the garden that God said you shall not eat of it or touch it, lest you die. So this is objective truth. Why don't we eat from that? Because God says look, I've created all this. I've created you in love, by love and for love, and love in the truth. And so when we speak about love, we have to speak about love in the truth and we have to speak about truth in love. This is the knowledge of good and evil, and when you walk away from truth, you walked away from God, and when you walked away from God, so we live in this milieu of moral relativism. This is an old story. And think about this. We think this is such an old story. No, watch the political people speaking. We have a party out there that promotes abortion, has redefined marriage and embraces this definition of marriage, saying a child no longer needs a father and a mother. And think about this.

Speaker 1:

This is Genesis 3. But the serpent said to the woman you certainly will not die. In other words, sin and death is not going to enter into this created world. Was that a lie? Yeah, and Jesus says because he's a liar and a father of lies. Do we not see this around today? No, god knows well that the moment you eat of it, your eyes will be open and you will be like God, who knows what is good and what is evil. Moral relativism. This is an old, old, old story, right? And so we've forgotten this. We've forgotten that Jesus sent his son with a solution to this to conquer sin and death in the Mysterium Pietatus right, the mystery of Jesus' incarnation, coming into the world, his passion, death and resurrection. And then he gives that to us the power to overcome sin and death. But modern man has once more stood in front of that tree and rejected it, and that's what stolen innocence is about. It's a consequence of that choice taken by a mass population that has rejected Christ and rejected God in the public square right, we've thrown prayer and the Bible out of our schools and you see the consequences of that. And this is an old story. Let me give you just a little background to answer your question. And the question again is why is the sexual exploitation of children so important to progressives? Let me go back just a little bit.

Speaker 1:

In 1932, in his book Toward Soviet America, william Z Foster, the national chairman of the American Communist Party, left little doubt of the party's goal for American education Among the elementary measures the American Soviet will adopt to further cultural revolution. And this is what we're feeling now, an acceleration of this. We're going to establish a national department of education. Now, when you hear Donald Trump say he wants to get rid of this, this is where this came from. The studies will be revolutionized, being cleansed of religious, patriotic and other features of the bourgeois ideology. The students will be taught the basics of Marxism and materialism, and this was a stated fact from them. Think about this Around the same time, john Dewey you've heard of him probably, dewey. He was the most influential figure in modern American education. He moved the Frankfurt School, founded by Marxists, to Columbia University. Columbia University is a teacher's college. This is why these teachers are coming out indoctrinated with this.

Speaker 1:

Dewey was a socialist and a staunch atheist. Get it Progressives, socialists, socialist, staunch atheist. Do we not see this now with our, our new of our vice president now running for for president? You know we see these same ideologies being pushed down. Well, he spent time in the soviet union. Upon his return to the states, he wrote a book of his admiration for, and desire to replicate the way in which their system was used as a political tool, how they were able to so quickly embed a collectivist mindset into children and how they began to dismantle the need for a family unit. Our special concern here is with the role of the schools in building up forces and factors whose natural effect is to undermine the importance and uniqueness of family life. That was the status quo. Again, these are atheists or agnostics that follow them implicitly or explicitly have rejected Christ, rejected objective truth, and now we're bringing these evil ideologies in and we don't realize this until we see what's happening to young people and really pay attention.

Speaker 1:

So Dewey eventually became known as the father of progressive education. His lack of understanding of the human person and his disdain for religion animated and informed his view of education more than an emphasis on reading, writing and arithmetic. Now, listen to this. This is why you see the proficiency standards going down year after year after year, as we add more CRT DEI SEL and the bloat of the administration and our taxes going up and the kids learning less. Why, again, more than an emphasis on reading, writing and arithmetic?

Speaker 1:

Dewey believed that the education system should be a tool for social engineering and the raising of the consciousness of children toward activism. He taught the philosophy of education at the Teachers College at Columbia, where he is able to have a vast and profound impact. Listen to this by 1950, already, a third of principals and superintendents in our country of large school districts have been trained there at Columbia underneath this and returned to their districts to spread these theories throughout the nation. This has been going on for a long time. You just see it, slowly, slowly, slowly, slowly the long march they would call it.

Speaker 1:

Thus this sentiment was also echoed by Chester M Pierce, a notable professor of education and psychiatry at Harvard and consultant listen to this for such children's educational shows such as Sesame Street. He said every child in America entering school at the age of five is mentally ill because he comes to school with certain alliances to our founding fathers, toward our elected officials, toward his parents, toward a belief in God and toward the sovereignty of this nation as one nation under God. Pierce argued it's up to you as teachers to make all these sick children well by creating the international child of the future. This is what we're seeing right now. This is again. Don't get caught up with the labels of political power. These are atheists and agnostics seeking to destroy the human person.

Speaker 1:

So the National Education Association, the NEA, which is the largest teachers union in the nation, grew under the thumb of Marxist and communist organizers in its commitment to override the influence of parents over their children. So the state wants to take your children. Your children are no longer yours, they're the state's, even though you got to raise them, feed them, make sure everything goes okay with them. But the state wants the influence, and this is the diabolical essence of this. And so here we have our answer as to the why.

Speaker 1:

Enter the tempter, the mysterium and equitatus, the mystery of evil. Satan doesn't have his own clay this is so important to remember. He, along with the men and women who have rejected God, so important to listen to this, mike and Julie, that he can only twist, distort and seek to destroy the imago Dei that God created good so that we're created in the image and likeness of God. Do you remember that? I'm not going to take the time to go through that because I've done it so often, but just read Genesis 1, verses 26 through 28,. A couple of verses and you'll see. We're created in the image and likeness of God, as male and female. This is the family unit. So how ironic, right In our so-called modern age, we've fallen once again for that old lie you shall be like gods.

Speaker 1:

It seems that the words of Aldous Huxley, who wrote the Brave New World, ring true again. He said that men do not learn very much from the lessons of history is the most important of all lessons that history has to teach. And, of course, this is why we don't teach history, true history, in schools. We don't teach it anymore. Why? Because we don't want them to know what our history is. We don't want them to remember what God taught about in the very, very beginning. We don't want to know that we're created in God's image and likeness. We don't want to know how our country was founded on Judeo Christian principles. You know so it's a fact, not an opinion that the same progressives who are pushing the 1619 Project and CRT on our children in schools are the very same progressives that backed Margaret Sanger and her eugenic program to destroy the black families and black children of her time. So think about this.

Speaker 1:

Think about the, our current vice president, who's running for president, who's a who's a socialist than a marxist. You can just see it, just listen to her words. She's talking about this while she's pushing these ideologies on us. What is she also pushing? She's pushing the destruction of the black children. That that she's. She's stating that she's there for you know it. Just watch, watch the, the evil that that permeates all of this. At the same time, you know she's pushing abortion. And so, again, margaret saying her was eugenics, eugenic. And her program to destroy the black families is the same neo-Marxist push in the CRT that they push in the schools, the same people behind Black Lives Matter. All these people are Marxist. They're stated Marxist. This isn't something you just make up. And the vast majority of babies being aborted today and a percentage, are incredible they're not only from low and minority populations, they're black babies. So while we're talking about these racial divides, we're destroying right in front of our eyes, but we don't see it because we live in that proverbial pot of moral relativism.

Speaker 1:

So the same progressives again that are concerned for BLM, critical race theory, are the ones pushing abortion of black children. Where are these clinics located? The same progressives right that push puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, bodily mutilation of children who are fortunate enough to survive their mother's womb. These are the same progressives that push the LBGTQ agenda as a very thin veneer to push mass pornography on children. This is what you see in children's literature. Now, don't get caught up in these labels LBGTQ, et cetera, et cetera. What's underneath it? It's almost always pornography. Just look at it, read the books, read them, look at them. So they're pushing pornography on children. Why To steal their innocence? If they can twist and distort the very hearts and minds of children, it's easy for them to accept these ideologies and to accept the redefinition of marriage and that's why you see so many children already today not being raised in a home with a mother and father. 80% of inner city kids here in Chicago are being raised without a father 80%. And so these same progressives again that are pushing CRT DEI SEL on our children and families sought to destroy family in these black communities. You know this started again many, many, many years ago. But of course, in my time, lbj's great society does this sound familiar? He was pushing what Socialism, you know, redefining the family to the point where his policies of socialism destroyed the black families. It's really sad.

Speaker 1:

Let me read something here. You know, and this is from I want to find this. This is from Pastor Amanchukwu, john Amanchukwu, who's doing such a marvelous job. He was also with Bishop Patrick L Wooten Sr in a documentary. You can look this up in the 1916 project, or 1619 project, I should say, which explores Margaret Sanger's role in creating the culture of death that encompasses the world today. Sanger, these pastors are saying both black pastors.

Speaker 1:

The founder of Planned Parenthood was known as a racist and a eugenic. In their documentary, they decried the fact that few pastors are speaking up against abortion. They said many pastors today and preachers today are more Democrat than they are gospel preacher when it comes to things like preaching against abortion, the slaughter of the unborn. Nothing is more racist in America than the abortion industry. It's amazing. Right Now he says this. This is Amanchukwu.

Speaker 1:

Now I was taken aback, he says, when I went to outside an abortion facility and I was approached by a black man and he said why are you here fighting a white man's issue? Why are you here fighting a white man's issue? Now, isn't that something that he was there, probably this black man to bring a woman whatever that was, I don't know the details of that in for an abortion to destroy their child? Now Pastor John says now, I was taken aback when he said this, fighting a white man's issue, because I looked around, though, and the majority of people out there praying trying to save these babies many of them were black babies are white, amanchukuo said, but the majority of the moms in the clinic preparing to abort their babies, they're black, including this gentleman's girlfriend. Oh, here it is. And he could only see a racial issue in that. I was over there with the white people trying to worship and pray and save babies and he called it a racial issue. So this is what we're up against, isn't it? Let me just go back to the end of this article. When you go to a clinic, you will see a steady track of African Americans going into that abortion clinic. I will pick you up, drive you over so you can see the travesty, the slaughter, the holy cost that's being wrought on the general community at large and particularly the black race, he said. So Pastor John said if you want me to, I'll bring you over there. You can see what's going on. Though Planned Parenthood no longer uses certain language and has tried to distance itself from Sanger, abortion continues to disproportionately impact black communities. In 2021, black Americans made up 11.6% of people living in the United States. 11.6% of our population is black. In 2021, yet they accounted for 41.5% of all abortions the highest abortion by ethnicity. So here we are again, these two-faced people, right? So these same progressives again that are pushing critical race theory, dei, everything else in school, pushing the LBGTQ issues.

Speaker 1:

This is just the destruction of children, the stealing of their innocence, and this isn't going to stop. Evil has only a temporal time. Evil can only exist right now in this world to try to twist and distort what God has created good, and so we are choosing objective truth. Is a baby a baby? Is a baby a human being? Of course it is. Of course he is or she is, and these little ones have a right to live. Right, the US Declaration of Independence. Right, human dignity comes from God and it's life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. If without life you can't have freedom, and without freedom, of course you can't have happiness. And so this isn't going to stop. When you have a population that lives for all practical purposes, in this temporal time, in an age of moral relativism, the tempter promises you utopia. If this is all you have, I'm going to give you these small pleasures. And why? If a child is coming in between, you know it's going to distort and twist and take away your pleasure. This is what Satan says. Right, you can be like God. You can call evil good and good evil, and we can get rid of that baby and we see this coming in, these poor children, with climate fraud taking away our food supply.

Speaker 1:

You know, the socialists and the communists did this. A hundred million of their own people they destroyed and this was in my dad's generation, my dad's still alive today, old World War II vet. He saw this, we all saw this. We could read it in the history books. It was in the 30s and the 40s. The Bolsheviks came in in 1920. I mean, the destruction that came in was amazing.

Speaker 1:

How about the COVID pandemic? Right, you know, take the vaccine, right, they're safe and effective. We found out they're not safe nor effective, yet the government's still pushing them. Why? We found out they're not safe nor effective, yet the government's still pushing them. Why? Why?

Speaker 1:

Gets back to my premise, right? This is a battle between good and evil, between truth and lies, between beauty and the profanity of beauty. Satan knows that his time is short and his only possible victory is to corrupt human beings, and he has just this life that we're in. We have to make a decision. You have to stop being on your phones and just looking and doing all these things of relative importance and, at the same time, missing the absolute importance, which is the salvation of souls. Right, we're called to save souls. That's why we're all here today. We're called to save souls. So's why we're all here today. We're called to save souls.

Speaker 1:

So I hope that I answered your question. Why do progressives, why is it so important to them, to exploit and sexually exploit our children? It's just an old battle between good and evil, and so don't get caught up in all that. Just take it down to the level. We need a savior, don't we? We need Jesus Christ. When you reject Jesus Christ, you're rejecting everything that's true, good and beautiful, and we won't find it in this world. The only way to do that is to brace your Christian roots.

Speaker 1:

When you have a body and a soul and this will be the last thing I say on this today when you have a body and a soul after Genesis 3, right, first Genesis 1, we're created good, and then Genesis 3, we reject God. We accept Satan's lie. He takes and twists and distorts the Imago Dei, which is marriage and the family and the child that comes out of it, and so this is the attack that you see today. This is the last great battle between our Lord and Satan is over marriage and the family and the child that comes out of it, because when you can destroy and twist and distort that, then you can really destroy humanity on a vast scale.

Speaker 1:

My heart really goes out to even more than adults, even though many adults have not heard the truth and so they're suffering in their own ways too with this. But we're not passing anything down to our children so they don't really have a decision. God gave us reason so we can reason through this and search for the truth. He also gave us free will so we can choose the good. When we don't look for truth and we don't live in objective truth, when we don't choose the good, then we fall for these ideologies. And you see it all around us today and again, our heart goes out, mostly today, to these young people because they've never heard anything about it.

Speaker 1:

We have a whole generation, and we've had multiple generations now born in the United States that have been indoctrinated by these schools, indoctrinated by the culture and now by their phones, huh, and what they're bringing into their minds and their hearts through those phones, through all these videos on the gender issues and et cetera, et cetera. It's a very confusing time. What's the solution? Bring Christ back into your own heart and then bring it into your marriages and the families and share it with your kids. Hey, god bless you. Thanks for being with me. Everybody, talk to you again soon, bye-bye.
